NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has republished the tender for the supply of battery energy storage systems (BESS) for solar power projects in the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat’s Kutch region. The previous tender was issued in November 2022.
In the current issue, NTPC REL has changed the bid submission date, security amount, and eligibility conditions. The deadline for proposal submissions is July 27, 2023. Additionally, as per the tender guidelines, the bidders must provide a bid security deposit of Rs 1 million. Until the end of the third year, the battery storage should have a minimum capacity of 250 kW and 1,200 kWh.
The selected bidder will be responsible for the full operation and maintenance of BESS for three years after the project is fully operational. The scope of work includes design, engineering, production, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading storage, installation, testing and commissioning of BESS for solar power projects at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park.
In May 2023, NTPC REL issued a request for proposals for an HT power cable supply package for a 1,255 MW solar block at Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat’s Kutch area. According to the tender guidelines, the package includes the manufacture, testing, packing, and shipment of 33 kV grade power cables. Additionally, the cables must be 19/33 kV (E) rated, must have a stranded compact circular aluminium conductor, and have 90 per cent armour coverage. Also, the total cable length required for the project is 835 km.
