Envision Energy secures contract from Serentica Renewables for 350 MW wind turbines

Envision Energy, a provider of renewable energy solutions, has signed a 350 MW wind energy contract with Serentica Renewables. The project will be established in Maharashtra and is anticipated to be operational by December 2024. Under the terms of the contract, Envision will supply 106 units of its EN156/3.3 MW wind turbine generators (WTGs) for the wind park. Upon commissioning, the plant will produce 1.25 billion units of clean energy and reduce 1.06 million tonne equivalent of carbon dioxide on an annual basis.

The project, which is expected to boost industrial decarbonisation efforts, will involve the assembly of nacelles and hubs for wind turbines in Pune, blades in Trichy or Bengaluru, and towers from Maharashtra-based manufacturers. The performance-led turbines, with specifications including a rotor diameter of 156 metres, a hub height of 140 metres, and a rated capacity of 3.3 MW are most suitable for India’s unique wind conditions. Moreover, their reliability has already been demonstrated in projects across China and Vietnam.

Envision Energy specialises in designing, manufacturing and operating smart wind turbines and energy storage systems, along with green hydrogen solutions. Serentica Renewables is an energy management solution company enabling energy-intensive industries to make a clean energy transition through its round-the-clock (RTC) solutions.
