JREDA floats bids for O&M of 1.39 MW of solar projects

Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (JREDA) has requested bids for the five-year operation and maintenance (O&M) of 68 mini and micro solar systems totaling 1.39 MW. The scope of work also includes the replacement of power conditioning units, modules, batteries, and other components located in various villages around Jharkhand’s Chatra district. The project is expected to cost Rs 1.79 million.

As a security deposit, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) will be required to contribute only 1 per cent of the total work order cost. As a performance bank guarantee, the successful bidder must submit an amount equal to 5 per cent of the allowed work order cost. The deadline for proposal submissions is June 14, 2023.

In May 2023, Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (JREDA) announced seeking consultants to execute a bathymetry survey and soil test report for a 600 MW floating solar power project at Chandil Dam in Jharkhand. The survey’s goals include determining bed contours, identifying obstructions, assessing soil and rock composition, and gathering data on water levels, flow velocity, and silt. The project is expected to cost Rs 20 million.

In February 2023, JREDA awarded Naviya Technologies Renewables, a Mumbai-based solar developer with an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract. The contract comprises a 2 MW grid-connected canal-top solar project at Sikidiri Canal in Ranchi.
