Inox Wind bags 150 MW wind power project from NTPC REL

Inox Wind Limited has bagged an order for a 150 MW wind power project from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL). According to the notification, the project will be implemented in Gujarat. Inox Wind will be responsible for providing and installing wind turbine generators, both existing and new technology. In addition, as part of the project, Inox Wind will be responsible for the project’s operation and maintenance (O&M).

In December 2022, Inox Green Energy Services acquired a majority stake in an unrevealed independent wind power operations and maintenance (O&M) company with over 230 MW of operating capacity, primarily in South India. This acquisition is expected to help the company in expanding its O&M fleet organically. The financial terms of the acquisition are not disclosed by the company.

Also, in September 2022, Inox Wind’s 3.3 MW wind project was successfully commissioned in Ranparda village, Rajkot district. The developed turbine has a 100-metre tubular tower and 146-metre rotor blades. In terms of size, capacity, and competitiveness, the turbine has been specifically designed for the Indian low wind region.
