INKEL Limited has requested bids to select a contractor for the supply of Balance of System (BOS) items and installation, and commissioning of 2.7 MW grid-connected ground mount solar installations in Kerala. According to the notification, INKEL has issued two tenders for 1.5 MW and 1.2 MW projects to be developed at the Nenmara and Kanjikkode substations. According to the tender guidelines, bidders must each provide a deposit of Rs 50,000 as an earnest money deposit.
For each project, the successful bidder must contribute 5 per cent of the entire contract value as a performance security deposit. Bidders must have executed similar contracts in the last seven years. They must have one project worth 80 per cent of the Price at Completion (PAC) of the tendered work, two projects worth 60 per cent of the PAC, or three projects worth 40 per cent of the PAC. The bidders must have a minimum average yearly turnover of Rs 10 million over the previous five fiscal years.The deadline for bids on the 1.5 MW solar project is June 17, 2023.
In February 2023, The Kerala government announced a Rs 2 billion scheme to develop green hydrogen hubs in Trivandrum and Kochi. This scheme has been announced for viability gap funding, grant, and equity support to establish green hydrogen hubs over the next two years.In addition, a new energy park will be built to capitalise on the potential of renewable energy generation. A total of Rs 100 million has been set aside for an industrial park that will produce electric vehicle batteries and related equipment.
Also, in May 2022, The Kerala government’s Agency for New and Renewable Energy Research and Technology (ANERT) has issued a request for proposals to commission a 1 MW rooftop solar installation at BrahMos Aerospace in Thiruvananthapuram. The developer is also responsible for the project’s management and maintenance for the next ten years. According to the tender guidelines, only ANERT-registered solar engineering, procurement, and construction vendors will be able to participate in the tender.
