Adani inaugurates 130 MW wind power plant in Kutchh

Adani Wind Energy Kutchh Five Limited has inaugurated a 130 MW wind power plant in Gujarat, Kutch. The newly commissioned plant will be operated by the Adani Group’s intelligent ‘Energy Network Operation Centre’ technology that has consistently proved and supported AGEL in attaining better operational performance throughout its entire renewable portfolio dispersed across several regions in India. The project has a 25 year power purchase agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India for 130 MW at a rate of Rs. 2.83 per kilowatt hour (kWh).

In February 2023, International Holding Company (IHC), an Abu Dhabi-based diversified conglomerate, announced to invest AED 1.4 billion through its subsidiary Green Transmission Investment Holding RSC Limited in the Adani Enterprises Further Public Offering. This is IHC’s second investment with Adani Group, following a $2 billion investment in three green-focused Adani Group companies last year.

In January 2023, Adani Renewable Energy Two Limited signed a binding agreement to acquire a 50 per cent equity stake in Rajasthan’s Essel Saurya Urja Company. According to Adani Group, ESUCRL owns and operates a 750 MW solar park in Rajasthan and the acquisition will allow the company to expand its presence in the state.
