Suzlon Group announced that it has received an order for its new 3 MW series wind turbines to establish a 300 MW wind power project for Torrent Power Limited. According to the notification, Suzlon will deploy 100 wind turbine generators with 3 MW rated capacity and a hybrid lattice tubular tower.
Additionally, Suzlon will supply the wind turbines (equipment supply), provide land and execute the project including erection and commissioning. The company will also provide comprehensive operations and maintenance services post-commissioning. The project is based in Karnataka and is scheduled to be completed in 2025.
Recently, in May 2023, Suzlon Group announced that it has bagged an order for its 3 MW series of wind turbines from Serentica Renewables. According to the notification, Suzlon will install 68 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a hybrid lattice tubular (HLT) tower and a rated capacity of 3 MW each for Serentica’s 204 MW wind power project coming up at Koppal in Karnataka. The project is expected to be commissioned by early 2024.
Also, in the same month,Suzlon Energy Limited announced that it has been awarded a 39-MW wind power project from Thermax Group subsidiary First Energy. This order is part of First Energy 5 Private Limited’s 100-MW wind-solar hybrid project.Suzlon plans to deploy 13 wind turbine generators each with a hybrid lattice tubular tower and a rated capacity of 3 MW.
