Suzlon Energy bags 204 MW order from Serentica Renewables

Suzlon Group announced that it has bagged an order for its 3 MW series of wind turbines from Serentica Renewables. According to the notification, Suzlon will install 68 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a hybrid lattice tubular (HLT) tower and a rated capacity of 3 MW each for Serentica’s 204 MW wind power project coming up at Koppal in Karnataka. The project is expected to be commissioned by early 2024.

Additionally, Suzlon will supply the wind turbines and execute the project including erection and commissioning. Suzlon will also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services post-commissioning.

Recently, in May 2023, Suzlon Energy announced that it has been awarded a 39-MW wind power project from Thermax Group subsidiary First Energy. This order is part of First Energy 5 Private Limited’s 100-MW wind-solar hybrid project.Suzlon plans to deploy 13 wind turbine generators each with a hybrid lattice tubular tower and a rated capacity of 3 MW. The project will be built near Thalaikattupuram, Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, and is scheduled to be completed in 2024. Also,Suzlon will deliver the wind turbines (equipment supply) and monitor the project, including erection and commissioning, as part of the deal and will also provide post-commissioning operations and maintenance services.
