ANERT floats bids for 1 MW of rooftop solar projects

The Kerala government’s Agency for New and Renewable Energy Research and Technology (ANERT) has issued a request for proposals to commission a 1 MW rooftop solar installation at BrahMos Aerospace in Thiruvananthapuram. The developer is also responsible for the project’s management and maintenance for the next ten years.

According to the tender guidelines, only ANERT-registered solar engineering, procurement, and construction vendors will be able to participate in the tender.  The bidders must submit Rs 200,000 as an earnest money deposit. Also, as a performance bank guarantee, the selected bidder must provide 3 per cent of the contract value. The bidders must have completed a solar project with a minimum capacity of 500 kW for a single project or at least five projects with capacities of 100 kW or greater.The deadline for proposal submissions is May 24, 2023.

The combined capacity of these projects should be greater than 2 MW. ANERT will assess a penalty of 0.5 per cent of the order value or week or portion thereof for any delay in installation and commissioning that exceeds the above-mentioned period, subject to a maximum cost of 10 per cent of the overall cost. The modules must be on the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.

Recently, ANERT issued a request for proposals for 1.25 MW of rooftop solar systems in Thiruvananthapuram. The projects will be built as part of the Solar City initiative, which is being funded by Smart City Thiruvananthapuram. The scope of the work under the project comprises grid-connected rooftop solar power project design, supply, engineering, erection, testing, and commissioning, as well as 10 years of operation and maintenance.
