Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has requested bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of two grid-connected ground-mounted solar power projects in Delhi. Under the group or virtual net-metering strategy, the projects include a 4.2 MW solar project in Pitampura for Tata Power and a 5 MW solar project in Moti Nagar for BSES Rajdhani. According to the tender guidelines, the projects must be completed within six months of the work order being issued. In addition, the contractor must provide full operation and maintenance for a period of ten years. Also, the bidders must submit Rs 4.45 and and Rs 4.1 million as an million earnest money deposit for the Pitampura project and Moti Nagar project respectively.
If bidders are bidding for multiple schedules, they should total up the earnest money deposit mounts listed above and submit them. The contractor has to submit the projects under the Mukhya Mantri Kisan Aay Badhotari Yojna and arrange for distribution companies to construct a transmission connection connecting the solar project to the substation. Additionally, the solar modules must be from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers and have a minimum capacity of 540W. In addition, the module efficiency should be at least 16 per cent. The bid submission deadline is June 5, 2023
In January 2023, NTPC Green Energy Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HPCL for development of renewable energy based power projects to tap business opportunities in renewable energy. The MoU intends to supply 400 MW round the clock renewable power to cater to the requirements of HPCL.
