TP Saurya collaborates with Tata Power Trading Co.

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited’s (TPREL) subsidiary TP Saurya Limited has inked a 25 year power purchase agreement with Tata Power Trading Co. for its 200 MW AC solar project in Rajasthan.It is estimated to supply 485 million units of energy annually once operational.The facility is scheduled to be operational by March 2024.

The PV project in Bikaner will be developed by TP Saurya and will be connected to the central transmission utility bus. TPREL’s overall renewables capacity has increased to 6,788 MW, with 3,917 MW installed and 2,871 MW in various stages of implementation.

In March 2023,TPREL received a ‘letter of award’ (LoA) from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited to set up a 200 MW solar photovoltaic project in Solapur, Maharashtra. The project will be commissioned within 18 months from the power purchase agreement’s execution date.

Additionally, in the same month, TPREL signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited for 510 MW hybrid projects. The project will help to save an average of 1,540 MUs of carbon dioxide emissions annually for Tata Power-DDL.
