IIT Kanpur and Lohum collaborate for lithium battery safety and sustainability

Lohum Cleantech Private Limited and the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) have launched a research agreement on lithium battery testing for safety and sustainability. Lohum Cleantech creates sustainable energy transition materials by recycling, repurposing, and refining with minimal carbon. The collaboration’s efforts will help in the development of technologies critical to the safety and longevity of batteries. Lohum will also assist IITK in commercialising its research findings in other areas.

In November 2022, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras collaborated with Australian universities to establish the Australia-India Centre for Energy (AICE) to work on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). AICE seeks to strengthen cooperation in the field of energy between academic institutions, research organisations, and businesses from both nations.
