Mumbai Metropolitan Authority floats bids for 7 MW rooftop solar projects

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has requested proposals for 7.1 MW rooftop solar power projects at Mumbai metro train stations and sites. According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work under the tender includes site survey, investigation, design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of rooftop solar systems are all part of the scope of work. The solar energy generated will be used to operate the station’s auxiliary and traction systems. Any excess solar electricity generated will be transferred to the grid. Bidders must pay a tender fee of Rs 3,000 and provide 1.3 million as security. They must apply for 100 per cent of the available capacity at the selected sites. Each rooftop project might range in size from 100 kW to 800 kW or more for each station or depot. The bid submission deadline is May 24, 2023.
