Cleantech Solar signs 25 MW projects in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu

Cleantech Solar announced the signing of 25 MW of wind projects for global industrial manufacturers at its upcoming wind parks in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. The customers will procure power from these wind parks on a captive basis to meet energy requirements at their manufacturing facilities in the respective states. These projects mark Cleantech Solar’s entry into combined wind and solar solutions, offering clients hybrid power to meet their renewable energy goals.

These long-term green energy partnerships with the customers are expected to generate over 1.5 TWh of clean energy during the lifetime of the projects, amounting to a reduction of nearly 1,434 kilotonnes of carbon dioxide emissions. Cleantech Solar is the turnkey wind energy provider, and these wind projects will be designed, financed, built, and operated and maintained by the developer through the term of the agreement. In addition to wind power, Cleantech Solar shall also provide solar power to these customers.

Headquartered in Singapore, Cleantech Solar has numerous solar power plants across India and Southeast Asia, covering over 750 MW across the various stages of operations and construction with many more solar and wind projects under development. This includes installations in India, Singapore, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.

In March 2023, Cleantech Solar commissioned 37 MWp of solar photovoltaic projects for a global industrial manufacturing giant at its solar parks across Maharashtra with a total capacity of 300 MWp.
