BVG India bags BoS order for 100 MW solar project

SJVN Green Energy, SJVN’s subsidiary, has awarded the contract to Bharat Vikas Group India (BVG India) to implement the balance of system (Bos) package for a 100 MW solar project in Punjab. The contract is worth Rs 1.33 billion and covers the solar project’s operation and maintenance for three years. The BoS project includes all of a photovoltaic system’s components, including the panels, wiring, switches, mounting system, one or more solar inverters, a battery bank, and a battery charger.

Reportedly, SJVN Green Energy won the solar project through tariff-based competitive bidding on a build, own, and operate basis through e-reverse auction at a tariff of Rs 2.65 per unit. In April 2023, Hartek Solar, the Hartek Group’s renewable and solar engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) business unit won a contract from SJVN Green Energy Limited to build a 22 MW DC (15 MW AC) floating solar PV power project at Nangal Pond in Himachal Pradesh’s Bilaspur district. When completed, this project would be the largest floating solar power plant in North India.
