Maharashtra floats bids for a 62 MW solar project

Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (MAHAGENCO) has floated bids for installing and commissioning a 62 MW grid-connected solar power project with the associated high-tension overhead transmission line, underground cable, and electrical equipment in Akola, Maharashtra. According to the tender guidelines, bidders will have to submit Rs 6.2 million as an earnest money deposit. Also, the successful bidder must furnish an amount equivalent to 10 per cent of the contract value as a performance bank guarantee within seven days from the date of the issuance of the letter of award.

According to the tender guidelines, The successful bidder will also have to construct bays up to the point of interconnection at 220 kV bays at the Paras substation and operate and maintain the project for five years. The last date to submit the bids online is June 1, 2023.

Recently, the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) floated a tender for 225 MW (AC) of solar power from decentralised, grid-connected photovoltaic PV projects to be established under component-A of the PM Kusum Scheme in Maharashtra. The maximum tariff is set at Rs 3.30 per kWh.
