Hartek Solar bags 22 MW floating PV project from SJVN Green

Hartek Solar, the Hartek Group’s renewable and solar engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) business unit has won a contract from SJVN Green Energy Limited to build a 22 MW DC (15 MW AC) floating solar PV power project at Nangal Pond in Himachal Pradesh’s Bilaspur district. When completed, this project will be the largest floating solar power plant in North India.

The project is expected to generate 33 million units of electricity annually helping to offset 763,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions each year. The scope of work under the project for Hartek includes the complete EPC of the 15 MW AC floating solar plant as well as comprehensive operation and maintenance.

Recently, in January 2023, Chandigarh’s largest 2 MWp floating solar power plant was commissioned. The plant was built by Hartek Solar and was commissioned by Chandigarh Renewal Energy and Science & Technology Promotion Society (CREST).
