IOCL announces O&M tender for solar project in Ahmedabad

Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) has requested bids for the five-year operation and maintenance (O&M) of an existing 8 MW solar power project at the Sanand LPG bottling plant in Ahmedabad. The project is expected to cost Rs 40.9 million. Bidders are not required to submit an earnest money deposit in order to participate in the bidding. As a security deposit, the successful bidder must submit an amount equal to 3 per cent of the total contract value.

Furthermore, bidders must have completed work on a 4 MW solar power project or higher capacity within the last five years prior to the previous day of the month in which the tender is being invited. As per the tender guidelines, the work must have been completed satisfactorily in the party’s name as a direct order, not through any other means such as a memorandum of understanding, joint venture, sister concern, or agent, and subcontracted work will not be considered.

Recently, in February 2023, IOCL issued a request for proposals for the comprehensive O&M of a 4.5 MW ground-mounted solar power project in Narimanam, Tamil Nadu. The project is expected to cost Rs 36.3 million over four years, including GST.

Also, in September 2022, IOCL requested bids from consultants to provide project management consultancy services for the installation of a 2.25 MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar power project at its liquefied petroleum gas bottling plant in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.
