BVG bags BOS package for solar project in Punjab

SJVN Green Energy awarded the balance-of-system (BOS) package for a 100 MW (AC) grid-connected solar PV power plant to Pune-based Bharat Vikas Group (BVG). The project is situated in Punjab and it is estimated to cost worth Rs 116.29 billion.

BVG’s scope of work includes three years of design, engineering, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and operations and maintenance, excluding the supply of PV modules.The EPC completion period is 465 days from contract award. The photovoltaic modules will be delivered separately to the BOS contractor by SJVN Green Energy.

Recently, in March 2023, the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) awarded SJVN G reen Energy Limited with a letter of award for a 200 MW solar power project to be developed anywhere in Maharashtra. The project is expected to be completed in 18 months, beginning with the signing of the power purchase agreement with MSEDCL. It was stated that the tentative cost of construction and development of this project would be around Rs 10 billion.

Also, in December 2022, SJVN Green Energy issued a request for proposals to commission a 100 MW grid-connected solar power project in Goliwada, Gujarat. According to the tender guidelines, the successful developer must complete the project in 465 days and provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for three years.
