PEDA floats bids for 8.7 MW solar projects

The Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) has issued a request for proposals to commission 8.7 MW of solar projects at the state’s 970 rural piped water supply systems. The projects must be completed within 150 days of the work order being issued. The winning bidder must oversee the project’s operation and maintenance for five years. As per the tender guidelines, bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit worth Rs 1 million. The successful bidder must provide Rs 500,000 as a performance security within 15 days of the allocation letter.The bidder may submit a bid with a minimum aggregate capacity of 1 MW and a maximum aggregate capacity of 8.7 MW.

In the previous seven financial years, eligible bidders must have completed the supply, installation, and commissioning of grid-connected rooftop or ground-mounted solar power projects totaling at least 50 per cent of the quoted capacity. According to the tender document, the minimum capacity utilisation factor for each year following the project’s commissioning date should be 15 per cent. The efficiency of the solar modules should be greater than or equal to 16 per cent, and they must have a minimum capacity of 250 Wp.  The bid submission deadline is April 10, 2023.

In December 2022, PEDA floated bids to install and commission 10 MW of grid connected rooftop solar systems over government buildings across the state using the renewable energy service company model. According to the tender guidelines, bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of  Rs 900,000 per MW.

In October 2022, PEDA requested bids for the installation and commissioning of grid-connected rooftop solar systems with a total capacity of 4.5 MW across various locations in the state using the renewable energy service company model.
