TPREL signs PPA for 510 MW hybrid project with Tata Power-DDL

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL) for 510 MW hybrid projects. The project will help to save an average of 1,540 MUs of carbon dioxide emissions annually for Tata Power-DDL.

The PPA has the capacity for bifurcation of 170 MW solar and 340 MW wind power. The project site located in Karnataka will be commissioned within 24 months from the PPA execution date. TPREL won this project through a competitive bidding process.

With this project, the total renewables capacity of TPREL reaches 6,303 MW with an installed capacity of 3,909 MW that includes solar capacity of 2,981 MW and wind capacity of 928 MW. However, capacity of 2,394MW is under various stages of implementation.

In January 2023, TPREL announced a solar power supply agreement with Vivarea Condominium, a residential society in Mumbai. The 3.125 MW solar plant will be built in Himayatnagar, Maharashtra and will provide clean energy to the community.
