TUSCO invites bids for 800 MW solar park in Uttar Pradesh

TUSCO, a joint venture company of THDC India and the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has invited bids from consultants to prepare a feasibility-cum-detailed project report for the development of an 800 MW ultra-mega solar power park in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh. After receiving the work order, the final feasibility report must be delivered within 90 days. The work is expected to cost Rs 5.43 million.

According to the tender guidelines, the earnest money deposit to be submitted by bidders is Rs 54,280. A security deposit-cumulative performance bank guarantee in the amount of 3 per cent of the contract’s value must be provided by the chosen consultant. Bidders must have prior experience developing large-scale solar parks with a capacity of at least 300 MW. They should be in possession of the authorised software needed to assess energy estimation. In addition to providing the names, credentials, and specifics of the experience of the individuals who would work on this consultancy assignment, bidders must also provide a current certificate of licence for the use of software.

TUSCO has stipulated that the consultant must pay the owner liquidated damages at the rate of 0.5 per cent of the contract value per week, up to a maximum of 10 per cent of the contract value, for any delay attributable to the consultant that extends past the time allotted for finishing the entire work.The bid submission deadline is March 29, 2023.

Recently, in February 2023, TUSCO called for bids to select an environmental and social impact assessment consultant for the development of 600 MW of solar power projects in Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi district.
