JK Cement and CleanMax collaborate for wind-solar PPA

JK Cement has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions in Karnataka for 6.42 MW of wind-solar generation capacity. CleanMax will be respsoble to supply green energy to JK Cement’s Muddapur factory from its wind-solar farm in Jagalur, Karnataka.

According to CleanMax, the PPA is for a duration of 25 years and has a tariff that is 50 per cent lower than the current DISCOM tariff. This wind-solar capacity consists of 4.68 MWp of solar power and 3.3 MW of wind power and is part of a 290 MW wind-solar farm developed by CleanMax in Karnataka.

Recently, in February 2023, Cleantech Solar commissioned 37 MWp of solar photovoltaic projects for a global industrial manufacturing giant at its solar parks across Maharashtra with a total capacity of 300 MWp.

Additionally, in January 2023, Cleantech Solar commissioned a 40 MWp of its photovoltaic projects for a global industrial manufacturing company at its 280 MWp solar park in Tamil Nadu. The offtaker will purchase power from this solar park on a captive basis.
