Cleantech Solar has commissioned 37 MWp of solar photovoltaic projects for a global industrial manufacturing giant at its solar parks across Maharashtra with a total capacity of 300 MWp. The client will purchase power from these solar parks on a captive basis and will supply green energy to their manufacturing facilities.
This long-term solar partnership between Cleantech Solar and the customer is expected to generate over 1.3 TWh of clean energy over the project’s lifetime, resulting in a carbon dioxide emission reduction of approximately 1,198 kilotonnes. Cleantech Solar is the turnkey solar provider, designing, financing, and constructing the fully operational solar project. Throughout the term of the agreement, the developer will also provide project operation and maintenance services.
In January 2023, Cleantech Solar commissioned 40 MWp of its photovoltaic projects for a global industrial manufacturing company at its 280 MWp solar park in Tamil Nadu. The offtaker will purchase power from this solar park on a captive basis. The company installed the plant on a turnkey basis, with the developer designing, financing, building, operating, and maintaining the fully operational solar project throughout the term of the agreement. The project is expected to generate over 1.3 TWh of clean energy that can help in reduction of approximately 1,221 kilotonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
