NTPC REL issues RfPs for 310 MW of solar projects at DVC reservoirs

NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL) has issued a request for proposals for the development of 310 MW floating and ground-mounted solar projects at Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) reservoirs. The tender was released on behalf of Green Valley Renewable Energy, a subsidiary of NTPC REL in a joint venture with DVC.

As per the tender guidelines, the winning bidders must provide three years of comprehensive operational and maintenance services. The bidders must have developed, designed, erected, commissioned, or supervised these activities for a grid-connected solar power project with a cumulative capacity of 40 MW or higher. At least one project must have been of 10 MW or higher capacity. The reference project must have been in operation for at least six months before the bid opening date. The bid submission deadline is March 31, 2023. Alternately, bidders must have successfully completed an industrial project in the power, steel, oil and gas, petrochemical, fertiliser, cement, coal mining, coal handling plant, and/or any other process industry that cost no less than Rs 2 billion.

Earlier this month, NTPC REL floated bids for a 500 MW inter-state transmission system (ISTS) connected solar project to be set up anywhere in India. The scope of work also included the operations and maintenance of the solar projects for three years from the date of commissioning, including the switchyard and power evacuation system until the interconnecting grid substation. The EPC contractor would also be in charge of identifying, acquiring, and fully transferring ownership or lease of the land to NTPC REL.
