DVC floats bids for 8 MW solar project in Jharkhand

The Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has requested bids from the engineering, procurement, and construction firms to commission an 8 MW ground-mounted solar power project in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, along with associated systems such as the power evacuation system. According to the tender guidelines, contractors must also provide comprehensive operations and maintenance services for five years. The deadline for bid submissions is March 27, 2023. Also, the bidders must submit Rs 5.2 million as an earnest money deposit.

The bidders are required to submit a performance security equal to 5 per cent to 10 per cent of the contract value. If the contract value is Rs 100,000 or less, they are exempted from submitting the performance security. The contractors must ensure that vendors provide a warranty on materials and equipment for 18 months from the date of delivery or 12 months from the date of commissioning, whichever comes first.

DVC has stated that the mono-crystalline or poly-crystalline modules used for the project must be from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers. The declared capacity utilisation factor must be greater than 22.5 per cent annually.
