The Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) has floated bids for the installation and commissioning of 11.5 MW of grid-connected solar power in Bhiwani and Hisar in Haryana. The successful bidder will also be responsible for the project’s operations and maintenance for five years with an option to extend for another five years. The projects will be developed at the Bhiwani 400 kV substation (10 MW) and the Hisar 220 kV substation (1.5 MW).
According to the tender guidelines, the bidders must submit Rs 3.91 million as an earnest money deposit. Also, the bidders should have prior experience as an engineering, procurement, and construction contractor or developer executing ground-mounted, floating, or canal-top solar projects. This must include installing and commissioning grid-connected solar power projects with a total capacity of less than 10 MW in the previous seven years. Such a project should have been operational for at least six months prior to the bid submission deadline.
The solar modules for the project must be purchased from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers. The bidders must also consider the Basic Customs Duty trajectory when quoting for the project. The bid submission deadline is April 10, 2023.
