Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited (REIL) has requested bids for 1,540 quantities of 664 Wp solar modules made from mono-crystalline silicon PERC cells. According to the tender guidelines, the PV modules must be warranted for their output peak watt capacity that should not be less than 90 per cent at the end of 10 years and 80 per cent at the end of 25 years.
Also, the modules must perform satisfactorily in ambient temperatures ranging from -10°C to +85°C and be able to withstand gusts of up to 170 km/h on the panel surface. The supplier should have an automated in-house module manufacturing facility capable of producing at least 5 MW per year.
In January 2023, REIL issued a request for proposals to develop 50 MWp of grid-connected rooftop solar capacity on government buildings across India’s states and union territories. The scope of work for the winning developer will include rooftop solar PV power system, along with the related power evacuation and transmission systems alongwith site assessment, design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning.
Additionally, in September 2022, REIL issued a tender to appoint agencies to identify, install, operate, and maintain 738 electric vehicle charging stations across India. The appointed agency will invest in upstream electrical infrastructure for charging stations such as transformers, cabling, load enhancement, a new electrical connection from the distribution company and recurring expenses such as data charges, maintenance, and workforce for operation.
