KPCL floats O&M tender for 10 MW solar project in Karnataka

The Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) has issued a tender for the operations and maintenance (O&M) of a 10 MW solar project. The 33 kV transmission line up to the 110/33/11 kV Shiggoan substation will be maintained as part of the project’s scope. After opening, the tender would be valid for 180 days.

According to the tender guidelines, the bidders are required to provide an earnest money deposit (EMD) worth Rs 660,000. After the successful bidder receives their letters of agreement, EMDs of unsuccessful bidders will be refunded. Additionally, the qualified bidder must have successfully managed at least one solar power project in India with a capacity of at least 1 MW for at least a year. Additionally, the project must have been successfully operating for a minimum of one year over the previous five years before bids can be submitted. The deadline for bid submission is February 9, 2023.

Recently in January 2023, IRCON Renewable Power Limited floated bids for the hiring of a project management consultant for a 500 MW grid-connected solar project in Pavagada, Karnataka. The project manager’s responsibilities comprise establishing communication procedures, monitoring project progress, preparing reports, monitoring quality, health, safety, and environmental compliance, monitoring procurement plans, and issuing work completion and material delivery certificates. The estimated cost of the work is Rs 55.7 million.

Additionally, in November 2022, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited invited bids for the balance of system package to establish 1,000 MW interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind power projects anywhere in Karnataka.
