NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has floated bids for the balance of system (BoS) package of interstate transmission system (ISTS) connected wind power projects. The projects should have a capacity of 1,000 MW and can be located anywhere in Gujarat. The scope of work of the project includes design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning. The contractor will also be in charge of demonstrating the guaranteed performance parameters beginning with 33kV internal evacuation lines from the unit substation, pooling substation, central monitoring and control station, wind monitoring masts, and external EHV transmission line until the ISTS substation. The successful bidder will also be responsible for operations and maintenance for three years.
According to the tender guidelines, the bidders must have completed at least one wind project with a total capacity of 40 MW or greater with at least one project with a capacity of 10 MW or greater completed in a single location. The wind turbine generators should be from the revised list of models and manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. The bid submission deadline is February 28, 2023.
Recently in January 2023, NTPC REL signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Tripura for development of floating and ground-mounted based renewable energy projects in Tripura. This MoU seeks to help the Government of Tripura in meeting its clean energy commitments and obligations.
