The Visakhapatnam Port Authority has requested bids for a one year annual maintenance contract for a 10 MW solar power project. The contract is expected to cost Rs 6.56 million. According to the tender guidelines, the bidders must submit Rs 131,156 as an earnest money deposit. As a performance bank guarantee, the successful bidder must provide an amount equal to 3 per cent of the contract price. The solar modules deployed in the project should be of suitable rating in an array totaling 11 MW including mounting frames, module mounting structures, stainless steel fasteners, array foundation, and module interconnection.
The contractor will be required to measure solar radiation and other relevant climatic conditions in order to assess plant performance. The contractor will also be in charge of daily estimation and determination of plant generation in the form of power output look-ahead scheduling. The contractor must pay a compensation of 0.5 per cent per week for any delay in the implementation of the operations and maintenance (O&M) activity, subject to a maximum of 10 per cent of the total contract value. The bid submission deadline is February 10, 2023.
In May 2022, NTPC Limited issued a notice requesting tenders for the comprehensive operation and maintenance of five 50 MW blocks of its 250 MW Mandsaur solar plant for the period of three years.
