Cleantech Solar inaugurates 40 MWp solar photovoltaic project

Cleantech Solar has commissioned  40 MWp of its photovoltaic projects for a global industrial manufacturing company at its 280 MWp solar park in Tamil Nadu. The offtaker will purchase power from this solar park on a captive basis. The company installed the plant on a turnkey basis, with the developer designing, financing, building, operating, and maintaining the fully operational solar project throughout the term of the agreement. The project is expected to generate over 1.3 TWh of clean energy that can help in reduction of approximately 1,221 kilotonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.

Recently in December 2022, Cleantech Solar commissioned 42 MWp of solar photovoltaic projects for a global metal components manufacturer at its 300 MWp solar park in Maharashtra. The generated power from these solar parks will be procured by the client on a captive basis, providing solar power for their manufacturing facilities in the state.

Additionally, in August 2022, Saint-Gobain India, the Indian subsidiary of the French construction materials company Saint-Gobain teamed up with Cleantech Solar to build an 18.7 MW solar plant for its self-consumption. Cleantech Solar will be establishing the PV plant at its solar park in Tamil Nadu as per the terms of the agreement. Saint-Gobain India will procure power for its manufacturing facilities in Sriperumbudur and Perundurai on a captive and open access basis.
