Amp Energy signs PPA for a 200 MWp wind-solar hybrid project

Amp Energy India has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) for a 200 MWp wind-solar hybrid project with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The developer was awarded this capacity as part of SECI’s 1.2 GW hybrid wind-solar tender (Tranche-V). Amp Energy will build and operate the capacity. The capacity will also be linked to the interstate transmission system (ISTS). According to the tender document, it can set up the project anywhere in India.

Recently in September 2022, Amp Energy India and Ohmium International announced a collaboration for mid-sized commercial and industrial (C&I) projects of 25 MW or smaller capacities. The projects, with a total capacity of 400 MW, are planned to be installed over the period of next three years. This collaboration with Ohmium will help Amp Energy to use Ohmium’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in India to extend its business offerings to customers.

Also, in the same month, Amp Energy India entered into a power purchase agreement with Amazon to sell renewable energy generated by a 100 MW solar power plant in Rajasthan. The plant is expected to be fully operational by the end of the year 2023. It will be located at Bhadla, Rajasthan, where Amp Energy is also developing 1 GW of utility-scale projects.
