Eastern Railways floats tender for 1.9 MW rooftop solar projects in West Bengal

The Eastern Railways has issued a request for proposals to install 1.9 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems across multiple sites in West Bengal’s Sealdah division. The scope of work entails conducting a survey, designing, fabricating, supplying, installing, testing, and commissioning 38 units of 50 kW grid-connected rooftop solar systems for three-phase 50 kW power with voltage ranging from 200V to 1,000V.

According to the tender guidelines, bidders must submit Rs 487,100 as an earnest money deposit. The estimated cost of the project is 67.42 million, and it must be completed within 12 months of receiving the work order. The minimum installed capacity must be 10 kW across any location. The chosen developers must also provide solar system materials and accessories such as string inverters, module mounting structures, cables, earthing, and junction boxes. The bid submission deadline is January 24, 2023.

Recently in December 2022, Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) floated bids to install and commission 10 MW of grid connected rooftop solar systems over government buildings across the state using the renewable energy service company model.

In the same month, Agency for New and Renewable Energy Research Technology (ANERT) floated bids for the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of 1.232 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems on 71 public buildings under the solar city project. The project will be located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
