Granules partners with Greenko ZeroC for green energy solutions

Granules India Limited has formed a strategic alliance with Greenko ZeroC to work on Green Molecule Solutions and their broader applications in pharmaceuticals as part of their sustainability and circular economy initiative. Granules and Greenko ZeroC will collaborate to create and promote integrated green pharmaceutical zones (GPZ) in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.

Granules will construct a greenfield facility based on sustainability principles to produce key starting materials, intermediates, APIs, and fermentation-based products on a large scale. The facility, which spans 100 acres, will be operational in stages. The project is expected to cost around Rs 20 billion over five years.

Greenko ZeroC will supply carbon free energy and enable green hydrogen along with its various chemical derivatives.
