GUDC floats consultancy bids for 150 MW of solar power projects

The Gujarat Urban Development Company (GUDC) has floated consultancy bids for the development of 150 MW of solar power projects under a captive model. As per the tender guidelines, bidders must submit Rs 100,000 as an earnest money deposit. Also, the successful bidder must provide an amount equivalent to 5 per cent of the consultancy fee as a security deposit. 

The consultant is required to analyse the collected data and recommend the contract demand of each urban local body. Within 120 days of signing the agreement, the selected consultant must submit a detailed report that comprises project feasibility report and procurement model. The deadline for bid submissions is January 17, 2023.

Recently in December 2022, SJVN Green Energy issued a request for proposals to commission a 100 MW grid-connected solar power project in Goliwada, Gujarat. According to the tender guidelines, the successful developer must complete the project in 465 days and provide comprehensive operations and maintenance services for three years.

Also, in November 2022, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) floated bids for a balance-of-system (BoS) package to establish 1.2 GW of solar power projects in Gujarat. These projects will be developed in four blocks of 300 MW each at Khavda power park located at the Rann of Kutch.
