Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has floated bids for the operations and maintenance (O&M) of a 5 MW solar power project at its Haridwar’s heavy electrical equipment plant. According to the tender guidelines, bidders must provide a deposit of Rs 45,175 as an earnest money deposit. Also, the successful bidder must submit an amount equal to 5 per cent of the contract value as a security deposit. The estimated contract cost is Rs 2.25 million for a period of one year.
The winning bidder will be responsible for the power conditioning units, HT panels, switchyard, and equipment breakdown. The O&M vendor will also be responsible for daily weather parameters, street light maintenance, and module table tightness checks. BHEL may grant a work completion extension where the delay is not attributable to the contractor. The bid submission deadline is January 6, 2023.
Recently in November 2022, BHEL issued a request for proposals for the supply of 1.25 million 157 mm diamond wire-sawn multicrystalline silicon wafers. Only domestic original multicrystalline silicon wafer manufacturers are eligible to participate in the tender.
Also, in October 2022, BHEL issued two tenders for the installation and commissioning of rooftop solar projects totaling 4 MW at two thermal power plants in Uttar Pradesh.
