Helen acquires 206 MWp solar project from ib vogt in Finland

Helen Energy has announced the acquisition of a 206 MWp solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in Finland from ib vogt. No financial details have been disclosed.  The solar farm is situated in Kalanti, Uusikaupunki district, and is currently in the ready to be built stage. The construction work on the site is expected to start in the second quarter of 2023. More than 380,000 high-capacity bifacial solar modules will be installed on a fixed-tilt substructure at the PV farm. It is expected to enter the commercial operation phase in late 2024, and will have the capacity to generate more than 200 GWh of clean energy per year.

Once fully operational, the solar farm will provide enough sustainable energy to power about 28,800 households while avoiding almost 17,600 tonnes of carbon emissions every year.  Additionally, ib vogt has committed to providing complete asset management, operations and maintenance, and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services.

In November 2022, OX2 sold Helen and Bank of Land’s Wind Power Fund the Niinimäki wind farm in Finland. The Niinimäki wind farm would have a total installed capacity of 145 MW and 22 turbines. The site’s construction is slated to begin immediately, with completion scheduled for the end of 2024. No financial details of the deal were disclosed.
