SJVN Green Energy has issued a request for proposals to commission a 125 MW grid-connected solar power project in Jamui, Bihar. The selected developer must complete the project in 465 days and provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for three years. The deadline for bids is January 17, 2022. According to the tender guidelines, bidders must submit Rs 24.4 million as an earnest money deposit.
Also, bidders must have previously completed a balance of system of grid-connected solar projects totaling at least 30 MW in installed capacity. At least one project with a capacity of 10 MW or greater should have been operational for at least three months prior to the bid submission date. A reference project with a capacity of 10 MW or greater must be operational for at least three months. Bidders who have completed power, steel, petrochemical, fertiliser, cement, or coal industrial projects worth Rs 710 million in a single project that has been operational for the last six months are also eligible to submit bids.
Recently in December 2022, Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) signed a loan agreement for Rs 44.4471 billion with SJVN Green Energy Limited for a 1,000 MW solar power project at Bikaner, Rajasthan.
Also, in the same month, SJVN Limited announced a joint venture with the Grid Corporation of Odisha (GRIDCO) to establish a 1,000 MW hydroelectric project and a 2,000 MW solar project worth Rs 200 billion. Both the companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Bhubaneswar to form a joint venture company to develop hydro and solar projects.
