PEDA floats bids for 10 MW rooftop solar projects

The Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) has floated bids to install and commission 10 MW of grid connected rooftop solar systems over government buildings across the state using the renewable energy service company model. According to the tender guidelines, bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of  Rs 900,000 per MW. Also, the successful bidder will be responsible for the project’s operation and maintenance for the next 25 years and must provide a performance security of 1 million per MW within 15 days of the allocation letter.

The bidders may submit bids for a minimum aggregate capacity of 2 MW and a maximum aggregate capacity of 5 MW. Bidders must have completed the supply, installation, and commissioning of grid-connected rooftop or ground-mounted solar power projects with a cumulative capacity of at least 50 per cent of the quoted capacity in the previous seven financial years.

The minimum capacity utilisation factor (CUF) for each year following the project’s commissioning should be 15 per cent. The solar modules to be used in the project must be from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.

Recently in October 2022, PEDA requested bids for the installation and commissioning of grid-connected rooftop solar systems with a total capacity of 4.5 MW across various locations in the state using the renewable energy service company model.
