ReNew Power signs 150 MW agreement with Microsoft

ReNew Power has announced signing of a renewable energy agreement of 150 MW with Microsoft India. As part of the arrangement, ReNew will produce 150 MW of clean energy from a recently commissioned solar site near Bikaner. This partnership further paves the way for innovative models that will accelerate the energy transition by the companies. This venture will help contribute towards Microsoft’s ambition of shifting to 100 percent supply of renewable energy by 2025.

Recently in December 2022, Jindal Stainless signed an agreement with ReNew Power to establish a utility-scale captive renewable energy project for power supply to its Jajpur, Odisha facility. The project will produce 700 million units per year using a combination of solar and wind technologies.

Also, in November 2022, ReNew Power announced the signing of a framework agreement with Egypt for building a green hydrogen plant in the Suez Canal Economic Zone with $8 billion investment. The framework agreement follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in July 2022.
