ACME and GUVNL collaborate for 50 MW wind power project

ACME Group announced a 50 MW wind power project in Gujarat as the company signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL). The company was chosen for the project through a competitive bidding process based on tariffs for the purchase of electricity from grid-connected wind power projects. Also, as per the guidelines, the project should be completed within 24 months of signing the PPA.

The power generated by this project will power nearly 6 million homes. Aside from the new wind power projects, ACME is in various stages of construction and commissioning of solar power projects totaling 2,600 MW. ACME currently operates solar power plants in 12 states and supplies electricity to 13 state distribution companies.

Recently in December 2022, MSEDCL requested bids for the long-term procurement of 300 MW of wind power from intrastate wind power projects.
