KPI Green bags 33 MW solar project

KPI Green Energy Limited has bagged a new order for the execution of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) of a solar captive power project of 33 MW capacity. The company will also be responsible for 25 years of operations and maintenance of the project.

This project will help the company to achieve its ambitious target of reaching capacity of 1,000 MW by year 2025. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2023. The company name from which KPI bagged the project is undisclosed.

Recently in September 2022, Hindalco Industries Limited inaugurated a 25 MW captive solar power plant at its Mahan aluminium smelting unit in Madhya Pradesh’s Singrauli district. The facility will be used to generate power for organisational requirements as well as for aluminium production at the Mahan unit.

Also, in the same month, Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), announced that it will be establishing a 100 MW captive solar project in Tarapur, Maharashtra for a stainless-steel manufacturer, Viraj Profile. TPREL will build the plant in Nashik’s Nandgaon.
