NIIFL and Tamil Nadu Infrastructure Development Board collaborate for renewable energy projects

The National Investment and Infrastructure Fund Ltd (NIIFL) and Tamil Nadu Infrastructure Development Board (TNIDB) have signed a  Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The collaboration will assist in attracting commercial capital for renewable energy infrastructure in Tamil Nadu. Additionally, TNIDB will receive assistance from NIIFL to identify potential private-sector investment opportunities such as asset recycling and the development of greenfield and brownfield infrastructure projects in a variety of sectors including renewable energy.

To assist the government of Tamil Nadu, NIIFL will leverage its experience and expertise in the infrastructure sector and its experience working with private capital. The NIIFL’s ‘Strategic Initiatives and Policy Advisory’ (SIPA) team advises central and state governments on strategic issues. Through its SIPA team, NIIFL assists the respective departments in project conceptualisation, project attractiveness for private investment, and transaction structuring.
