Chiripal Group, a textile company based in Gujarat has released a notification on the formation of Grew Energy Private Limited, a solar component manufacturing company under Chiripal Renewables. The textile company has entered the renewable energy space with the formation of this company. Grew’s stated goal is to provide indigenous solar components for photovoltaic (PV) modules at a competitive price.
The facility aims to catalyse the production of 4 GW PV modules, 3 GW PV cells, and 300 tonnes of tempered glass on a per day basis. Initially, Rajasthan will be equipped with its first 2 GW of fully automated units.
The company intends to begin production in June 2023 and complete the manufacturing of solar ecosystem components in a period of 3 to 4 years. It has also ventured into the installation of solar infrastructure.
