MSEDCL floats bids for 300 MW wind power projects

The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) has requested bids for the long-term procurement of 300 MW of wind power from intrastate wind power projects. MSEDCL will sign into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the successful bidder for a period of 12 years beginning on the date when the PPA is executed.

As per the tender guidelines, the bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 118,000 per MW per project. MSEDCL has set a tender ceiling tariff of Rs 2.65 per kWh.
The minimum bid capacity is 0.5 MW. The winning bidder will be in charge of power transmission up to the point of interconnection, as well as energy accounting infrastructure.
The bid submission deadline is January 6, 2023.

Recently in November 2022, the MSEDCL requested bids for 230 MW of solar power from state-developed projects. MSEDCL has set a ceiling tariff of Rs 3.30 per kWh.
