GEDA floats bids for deployment of EV charging stations

The Goa Energy Development Agency (GEDA) is seeking expressions of interest and sealed bids for the installation, operation, and maintenance of 40 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in various locations throughout Goa. The charging stations will be commissioned under the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles programme on a design, build, operate, finance, and transfer basis. The project is expected to cost Rs 32 million.

The scope of work includes the supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of EV charging stations. According to the tender guidelines, successful bidders are required to perform all other tasks required for the execution and operation of the charging stations. The deadline for bids is December 29, 2022.

Recently in November 2022, GEDA issued request for proposals for the supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of 2.2 kW grid-connected wind power plants. The state government is considering establishing wind power plants at Goa University as a demonstration project.
