GEDA floats bids for wind power plants at Goa University

The Goa Energy Development Agency (GEDA) has issued a request for proposals for the supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of 2.2 kW grid-connected wind power plants. The state government is considering establishing wind power plants at Goa University as a demonstration project.

Plants with small aero-generator power systems will be installed on the existing towers of Goa University. The wind power plant will include aero-generators with power/data measurement instrumentation, junction boxes, grid tie inverters, cooling, enclosed construction, and cables among other things.

As per the tender guidelines, work must be completed within 45 days of the work order being issued. According to GEDA, the bidder must have five years of experience in the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of wind power systems.

Recently in September 2022, GEDA invited bids for the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 1.2 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects at hospitals in North and South Goa.
