SJVN Limited has commissioned a 75 MW solar power project at Parasan solar park in Uttar Pradesh. With this project achieving its commercial operation, the power producer’s installed generation capacity stands at 2,091.5 MW. The project has been developed at a cost of Rs 3.92 billion.
The Parasan solar power project was bagged at a tariff of Rs 2.68 per unit on build, own and operate basis. The power purchase agreement for the project has been signed with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited for 25 years. The project will generate 168.34 MU in the first year and the project’s cumulative energy generation over a period of 25 years would be about 3,919 MUs.
Recently in November 2022, SJVN Limited announced that it has been awarded a contract to establish an 83 MW floating solar project in Madhya Pradesh. In an e-reverse auction organised by the Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited. The project was secured at a tariff of Rs 3.70 per unit on a build, own, and operate basis.
