JinkoSolar Holding, a China-based manufacturer of solar panels, has secured a cell module contract through Jinko Solar for supply to the Santa Luzia Complex. The contract is with Rio Alto for the supply of about 522 MW of cell modules.
According to the agreement, Jinko Solar will provide Tiger Neo 78 Cell modules for the early phase of the solar project. The Santa Luzia Complex, located in Santa Luzia and So Mamede cities, covers more than 1,700 ha of territory in Paraba State. It is being built with a $768 million investment and is anticipated to create 750 direct jobs. The project is divided into three phases, with the first currently under development and scheduled to be completed in May 2023.
Based in Shanghai, Jinko Solar provides solar products and services to international utility, commercial and residential customers worldwide. In January 2022, JinkoSolar Holding Corporation Limited won a tender for up to 1.85 GW of high efficiency solar modules from China Petroleum Engineering and Construction Corporation, a China National Petroleum Corporation affiliated company specialising in project engineering and construction.
